josh.menu is a GPU price-intelligence site. You can use every public page without an account, and we run no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. This page describes the little we do collect, in plain English.
What we collect
- • Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our server records requests (IP address, page requested, browser user-agent, timestamp) for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. Logs rotate on a short schedule and are not used to build visitor profiles.
- • Rate-limiting counters. We count requests per IP address in short windows to block scrapers and abuse. These counters expire automatically within minutes.
- • Self-hosted, cookieless page counts. We built our own analytics rather than using a tracking service. For each pageview we store: the page path, the referring site's domain (if any), a coarse device class (desktop/mobile/tablet), and a one-way fingerprint hash that rotates daily — it lets us count "how many different visitors today" without cookies, without storing your IP or browser details, and without any way to follow one visitor across days or across websites. This data lives on our own server and is never shared or sold.
- • A session cookie. A single first-party cookie keeps you signed in if you have an account. There is no public sign-up — accounts exist only for the people who run the site — so most visitors never store more than a security (CSRF) token. We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- • Email you send us. If you email [email protected], we keep the correspondence to answer you. That's it.
What we don't do
- • No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data with anyone.
- • No advertising networks, no Google Analytics, no social-media pixels.
- • No profiling and no automated decision-making about visitors.
Third parties you may touch through us
- • Cloudflare sits in front of the site as a network proxy, so requests pass through their infrastructure (their privacy policy applies to that transit).
- • Retailers and marketplaces. Buy and Rent links take you to the retailer or marketplace (for example eBay or Vast.ai). Some links are affiliate or referral links — see our affiliate disclosure — and once you're on their site, their cookies and privacy policies apply, not ours. We never pass them your identity; the link only tells them you came from josh.menu.
Your choices and rights
We hold almost nothing about you, but if you believe we have personal data of yours — say, from email — you can ask what it is, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it, and we will. Email [email protected]. If you're in a jurisdiction with formal privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA, and friends), those requests go to the same address and get honored the same way.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't quietly start collecting more than described here.
